This partly glazed Earthenware Flagon is in stock and on display in the showroom found here at Authentic Reclamation and comes complete with cork. Manufactured by Thomas H Furze, Crutched Friars, London.
Thomas Furze was possibly this chap. from the Richmond Brewery. Wiki says: “The Crutched Friars (also Crossed or Crouched Friars, cross-bearing brethren) were a Roman Catholic religious order in England and Ireland. Their name is derived from a staff they carried with them surmounted by a crucifix.”
