This Antique Reclaimed Linenfold Oak ‘Saloon Bar Only’ Door from the Grasshopper Pub is a spectacular piece of genuine architectural history, this heavy interior door has been reclaimed directly from the historic Grasshopper Pub. Crafted from solid oak, the door is beautifully decorated on both its front and reverse faces with traditional, deeply carved “linenfold” (or linen fold) panels—a timeless design originating in the Gothic and Tudor eras to emulate draped fabric.

Adding extraordinary commercial appeal and historical provenance, the front face features a vintage sign reading “Saloon Bar Only” in a striking Old English script. Complete with its original heavy iron loop handle/latch mechanism on the reverse, this highly authentic door serves as an ultimate statement piece for home bars, commercial hospitality renovations, themed restaurants, or unique residential entryways.

The Grasshopper Inn dates back to 1271 and was originally two cottages, one was used as a beer house called ‘The Plough’ which served Westerham Strong Farmers Ale and Westerham Mild Ale. In the early 1950s the Grasshopper Inn was restored and extended using old material including Oak panelling and wrought iron from the Houses of Parliament and the vestry doors from Coventry Cathedral.

Delivery Information

We aim to make the delivery process as smooth as possible. However, there are a few important details to keep in mind:

• We deliver items just off the side of the truck. If you require additional assistance moving items on-site, this can be arranged for an additional charge. Please let us know in advance.
• Our deliveries include one driver. For larger or heavier items, you will need to provide help on-site unless otherwise agreed upon before delivery. Any additional charges for assistance must be settled beforehand.
• If your location has specific parking, loading, or access restrictions, it is your responsibility to inform us before finalizing payment and delivery. This helps us ensure a smooth and hassle-free delivery experience.
